1. General Policy on Refunds
Contributions made through RiteFundMe are considered voluntary gifts to the campaign creator. As a platform, RiteFundMe facilitates the connection between donors and campaign creators but does not guarantee the success or intended use of funds by the campaign creator.
- Refunds are generally not guaranteed but may be considered under specific circumstances outlined below.
- Refund requests must comply with the terms of this policy and are subject to review by RiteFundMe.
2. Circumstances for Refund Consideration
Refunds may be issued under the following circumstances:
2.1 Fraudulent Campaigns
If a campaign is found to be fraudulent or intentionally misleading, contributors may request a refund. Evidence must be provided to support claims of fraud, such as:
- False claims made by the campaign creator.
- Misuse of funds against the stated purpose.
2.2 Errors in Donation
Refunds may be issued for accidental contributions due to:
- Duplicate donations.
- Incorrect donation amounts.
- Mistaken selection of a campaign.
2.3 Campaign Cancellation
If a campaign is canceled before funds are withdrawn by the campaign creator, donors may request a refund of their contribution.
3. Circumstances Where Refunds Are Not Issued
Refunds will not be issued under the following circumstances:
- Dissatisfaction with the campaign’s progress or outcomes.
- Disputes with the campaign creator regarding their actions or decisions.
- Contributions made to campaigns that have already withdrawn their funds.
- Lack of fulfillment of campaign promises (unless fraud is evident).
4. Refund Request Process
4.1 Submission of Request
To request a refund, donors must:
- Submit a written request via our Refund Request Form or by emailing support@ritefundme.com.
- Include the following information:
- Full name and contact details.
- Proof of contribution receipt or transaction ID.
- Reason for the refund request and supporting evidence, if applicable.
4.2 Review Process
- RiteFundMe will review all refund requests within 10 business days of submission.
- If additional information is required, the donor will be contacted.
- Decisions will be made in accordance with this policy and based on available evidence.
4.3 Refund Approval
If a refund is approved:
- The amount will be returned to the original payment method within 5-10 business days, depending on the payment processor.
- Processing fees (if any) may be deducted unless the error was caused by RiteFundMe.
5. Special Conditions for Campaign Creators
If a campaign creator voluntarily returns unused funds or agrees to refund contributors, RiteFundMe will facilitate the refund process. Campaign creators must contact us at support@ritefundme.com to arrange refunds.
6. RiteFundMe's Role
- RiteFundMe is not responsible for directly issuing refunds unless fraud, error, or a platform issue has been demonstrated.
- As a neutral intermediary, RiteFundMe reserves the right to investigate refund claims and determine their validity.
7. Amendments to this Policy
RiteFundMe reserves the right to update or modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will take effect immediately upon posting to our website. We encourage users to review this policy periodically.
